Fully customisable for full decompression of injured parts of the feet The device OPTIMA DIAB is characterised by a high vamp, which contains a very rigid stiffener. Its internal back part can be shaped with heat according to the needs of the patient. The device is fastened with a system of moveable velcro straps. From the leg, this structure helps to reduce pressure on the foot, while deambulation is controlled through the sole radius. In this product for patients with plantar ulcers, three different types of material with different density levels (soft, medium, stiff) are inserted at the bottom. These materials can be arranged both vertically and horizontally. These inserts make it possible to tailor-make footwear, with corresponding decompression in the plantar area. This operation may be performed in emergency situations, also at level of out-patient, with few and simple modifications.
Non-removable system By means of a special plastic strap supplied with the product (NRS), the operator can fix the device Optima Diab shoe as to be non-removable. The only way the NRS can be anchored is by applying pressure, and can be removed only by cutting it.
Use of adaptable plantar Then, the cut plantar must be inserted in the intermediate layer. Through this operation, materials in contact with the plantar are untouched, there are no harmful frictions on the lesion, and pressure is regularly removed from ulcerated areas.
Diabetic foot ulcer can be decompressed by including a conical discharge hole made using a scalpel |
